With sustainability becoming a priority in Australia, businesses are actively embracing electric vehicles (EVs) over petrol vehicles, with over 50 percent of companies planning to transition within the next two years. Leading this movement is CarBon, a prominent EV leasing, rental, and subscription company dedicated to supporting the shift towards zero-emission transportation, specifically through B2B solutions. By integrating the Loopit platform, a leading automotive subscription service, CarBon has been able to enhance its subscription capabilities, streamline operations, and provide best-in-class customer experience.

Empowering Businesses with Flexible EV Solutions

As one of the leading electric vehicle leasing, rental, and subscription companies in Australia, CarBon is committed to assisting businesses in achieving zero vehicle emissions. Recognising the significance of change management, particularly for businesses offering fleets comprising models like Ford Rangers and Hiluxes that are becoming outdated, CarBon has taken proactive steps to address this challenge. To further accelerate the transition to electric vehicles, CarBon has partnered with Roev, a company dedicated to electrifying fleets across Australia. Roev plans to convert more than 1000 diesel Hiluxes to electric in its first 12 months of production, with vehicles slated to be available from February 2024.

“Through our collaboration with CarBon, we are able to offer seamless and flexible subscription models to our customers and businesses that ensures a risk-free adoption of EVs. With CarBon and Roev set to supply 500 vehicles in the first year, this will introduce an additional subscription and leasing option for customers and businesses to choose from”, says Michael Higgins, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Loopit

Recently, CarBon achieved a significant milestone by securing a $632,000 grant from the State government's EV initiative in New South Wales. As one of the 20 successful bidders, CarBon will play a crucial role in delivering 1,000 electric vehicles onto NSW roads in 2023, which will only be amplified through the inclusion of subscriptions in their offering.

With this boost, CarBon is set to expand its offerings and make a substantial impact on the journey towards a greener automotive landscape.

Benefits of Loopit Subscription Platform for Customers

The integration of the Loopit platform has evolved CarBon's operations and provided numerous benefits for both the company and its customers. Loopit's user-friendly interface and self-service capabilities enable customers to effortlessly manage their subscriptions, resulting in a streamlined and personalised experience. The platform automates essential tasks such as billing, contract signing, and account management, saving time and resources for CarBon.

Scott Gillespie, CEO and Founder of CarBon says,

“Since beginning with Loopit over six months ago, we have noticed fleet management becoming easier for not only us, but for our customers too. It has allowed them to lock in and manage their financials such as banking details and invoicing, which has created a simplified approach to management for both our company and our customers.”

Addressing the Demand for Sustainable Solutions

CarBon made the strategic decision to adopt a car subscription model in response to the growing demand for sustainable transportation solutions. With over 50 percent of Australian businesses planning to transition to electric vehicles, CarBon saw an opportunity to offer a risk-free environment for businesses to embrace new technologies. The subscription model allows businesses to test the suitability of EVs and mitigate risks associated with long-term commitments, making it an ideal solution for businesses seeking flexibility and cost-effectiveness.

Higgins says, “Subscription services enable businesses and fleet managers to try EVs before committing to long-term ownership. As the industry undergoes significant shifts towards sustainability and changing consumer preferences, implementing a subscription model plays an important role in accelerating the adoption of EVs.”

Gillespie added, “The beauty of a subscription approach is that it allows businesses to dip their toes into the world of EVs by starting with a couple of vehicles for a shorter period of time, say six months. By doing so, they gain the confidence that if things don't go as planned, they can easily return the vehicles. However, it's worth noting that many of our subscribers have exceeded the initial six-month period and are delightfully continuing with their subscriptions."

Future Outlook

The subscription model has experienced significant uptake in the commercial vehicle space, driven in part by the introduction of EVs. Subscription services allow businesses to explore and experience the benefits of EVs without the burden of high capital investment. The try-before-you-buy approach appeals to businesses seeking flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing work demands.

Through the integration of Loopit's subscription platform, CarBon revolutionises the way businesses adopt EVs, providing a risk-free and streamlined experience. Loopit's capabilities enhance customer experience, increase operational efficiency, and improve overall customer satisfaction.

By partnering with Loopit, CarBon is well-positioned to meet evolving customer needs, driving the widespread adoption of electric vehicles in Australia's automotive industry. CarBon's commitment to flexible subscription options, powered by Loopit, positions the company as a leader in the industry's transition to sustainable transportation.

As the market continues to evolve, Loopit and CarBon remain at the forefront, accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles through innovative alternatives to ownership.
