You can now backdate start dates in Loopit, giving you greater flexibility to ensure booking records match what actually happened on the ground.
Backdating can be used when a vehicle has already been handed over, when onboarding delays occur, or when you need to correct a booking to reflect an earlier start date.
Whether you're creating a new booking or adjusting an existing one, Loopit automatically checks historical vehicle availability to prevent conflicts and ensure accuracy.
When creating a booking:
You can select any past date from the date picker. Loopit will validate availability based on historical utilisation and allow you to ignore lead times where needed.
When editing an existing booking:
You can update the handover date to a past date, and Loopit will show only the dates where the chosen vehicle was historically available.
If you activate a booking with a backdated start date, Loopit will guide you through how to handle any unbilled days — either generating an invoice for the backdated period or allowing you to proceed without charging.
This update gives operators more control, cleaner records, and greater billing flexibility, while still ensuring accurate availability and conflict-free bookings.
