More Accurate and Reliable Odometer Tracking

We’ve enhanced how Loopit tracks and manages vehicle odometer readings to make mileage data more accurate, transparent, and easy to maintain.

You can now add verified odometer readings directly from the vehicle record to create a reliable baseline, while Loopit continues to automatically estimate future readings using trip data from your linked telematics device.

Telematics data is refreshed every 30 minutes, and Loopit intelligently ignores any trip records that appear unrealistic for that time period — ensuring your estimated readings stay consistent and error-free.

Each vehicle’s current odometer value is now displayed at the top of the page, clearly showing whether it’s an Actual or Estimated reading. This same value is automatically used in contracts and agreements, keeping your paperwork accurate and up to date.

To support transparency, we recommend including a clause in your agreements noting that odometer readings may be estimated between manual updates.

Together, these improvements give you full visibility and control over your odometer data — reducing admin effort and ensuring every reading reflects the true use of your vehicles.
