Keep Fleet Data Clean with the New Archive Vehicle Status

We’ve introduced a new Archive Vehicle Status to make fleet management simpler and more consistent across the Loopit platform.

Archiving a vehicle allows you to remove it from active listings, reports, and availability calculations while retaining all historical data for audit and compliance purposes. This makes it easier to manage vehicles that are no longer in use — such as those sold, decommissioned, or temporarily retired — without disrupting your operational data.

Unlike custom or workspace-specific statuses (like “Sold”), the new Archive state is a platform-managed status, ensuring consistency across integrations, APIs, and reporting. This eliminates the need for manual workarounds and ensures archived vehicles behave predictably across the platform.

For operators, this means cleaner fleet data, more accurate reporting, and fewer errors when managing vehicles over time — all while maintaining a complete history of every asset in your account.
